Time to Reflect

I always take time to reflect (planned or unplanned). This gives me the opportunity to put things into perspective. Oftentimes, we get caught up what we are trying to accomplish that we do not take the time to reflect on what we already accomplished. Ironically, I was reflecting on things that I wrote in the past and came across this post from December 31st, 2014.

Ah, the time has arrived for many of us where plans are being made to party and live it up on NYE.

However, one should take time to reflect on this past year. We’ve ALL had challenges. We’ve ALL had goals. We’ve ALL experienced things that we either never thought about or didn’t think that would happen. There have been large and small milestones. Ones that helped us reach our goals or ones that have gotten us closer.

Don’t over look the seemingly small gifts that we are granted. The gift of love (even if it is just the love of self), the gift of breath, the gift of joy, the gift of faith, the gift of strength, the gift of power, the gift of a sound mind, and the gift of life.

Oftentimes, it doesn’t seem like we have all of our gifts at a single moment, but that is okay. We have much more than you think. Enjoy and appreciate the best gifts of all and not material things. For your spirit is fed from beautiful things that can’t be measured or counted.

May you be filled with joy, peace, love, courage, and strength in this New Year.

Much love. Be safe. Be blessed.
