Wisdom Wednesday: Sit Still

As I prepared to tune into myself and the Universe to determine the topic for this Wisdom Wednesday, it began apparent that I am to write about something that has been a lesson for me more than once.

There will be times when we need to sit still. We must sit still and just be. We are all full of many talents and capabilities which we put to use without issue. We all have goals that we would like to accomplish. Things to do. People to see. You know how it goes. But while we can say that we’ve been there and accomplished xyz, how often can we say that we’ve sat still? While we were figuring things out for ourselves (actively or inactively), have we sat still? How many times did we feel the need to sit still and we did not? We felt as we needed to more productive with our time, instead.

Now, consider the times when you did sit still. Did you so choose to or did the Universe force you to (e.g. extreme fatigue, caught a cold, snowed in, etc.)? When you were forced to sit still, were you able to take the time to tune into yourself  & the Universe to address whatever it is that was on your spirit? Is the answer yes?

I can honestly say, that whether we voluntarily take the time to sit still or we are forced to by the Universe, one will find peace and clarity. Now, while the nature of society has imbedded the thought process that if we aren’t doing something, we are unproductive, that can be countered. Being one with yourself and the Universe is being productive. It is improving your state of mind, spirit, and body for you and others. You will feel grounded and clarity will be bestowed upon you. Oftentimes, the answers and direction that we seek are within reach because they are within. However, it can only be found by going within.

Sit still to heal. Sit still to discover. Sit still to learn. Sit still to grow. Sit still to find be peace. Sit still to find the answer.

Sit still, Warrior.
