The best kind of leftovers!!! I prepped my smoothie for the morning to take with me and had an extra 8 oz leftover. Nice to share or drink as well!
As I briefly mentioned, I add different ingredients to my smoothie to keep it interesting. I always have greens (e.g. spinach or kale), fruit (e.g. berries, pineapple, mango, and more), seeds (e.g. hemp or chia) and my liquid (e.g. coconut water, almond milk, or coconut milk), and sometimes, I top it with shredded coconut.
That face you make when you defy any negativity and keep pushing. You got this, Warrior!
It is drilled into us that we must stay hydrated and the best way is by drinking water. Although the food that we eat can hydrate us (read: fresh fruit and veggies), the reality is most of us do not consume enough.
Since it is important for us to drink water, why should it be tasteless? Think about it. Why do we constantly eat the things that we do? It is because we favor the taste! Let’s be honest. If something does not taste great, we aren’t going to eat or drink it.
So why not create something that is delicious and hydrates us at the same time?
This one holds true for us all. Sometimes we learn this lesson gently; other times, not so much. This is more of the latter. Our goals and objectives often become the forefront of our focus rather than a holistic view of our entire being. Our mind, body, and spirit. The second one falls to the wayside at times.
