Take a moment and close your eyes.
Close your eyes and envision where you are right now in your life. Let go of all of the things that aren’t where you feel they should be or what you are working on. I want you to think of all the positive things going on in your life – no matter the magnitude of it. Allow that positivity to envelop you. Allow it to take over. Allow it to pass over you and seep through your entire being. This is the now of your life.
It is very easy for us to think of all of our goals and things that we would like to do tomorrow, next week, next year, and so on. Oftentimes, we focus so much on the future that we miss the present. The present is called that for a reason. It is a gift to each one of us. It is a precious gift that we must appreciate no matter what is going on in our lives. Gratitude brings beauty into our lives. It prevents the negative energies from festering. It allows positive energy to grow and multiply.
The now is beautiful. It is much different from yesterday and all of the other experiences that we have had in the past. The now brings with it such wonderful experiences that we could not have begun to picture in our past days.
Each stage of our lives are created to build us and prepare us for the next step in our journey. Our journey is not a smooth cruise down Route 66. Our journey has some curves, rocky paths, potholes, and off beaten paths. It also has some of the most beautiful scenery than you can ever imagine. Don’t allow your journey to become a blur. Take some time to stop and enjoy where you are right at that moment in your life. Enjoy everything about it. Some days are more beautiful and memorable than the others but each day is worthy of your attention. Be aware of your days. Be alive. Live. Enjoy it. Be gracious and grateful. Appreciate all that you have been granted.
Always be patient as there is always progress to be made and happiness to be embodied. Enjoy the now and don’t let it pass you by. It is enlightening and it is powerful. As are you.
Be present, Warrior.
