As you prepare your mind and spirit for the new week, keep this in mind. What matters is how you feel about yourself, how you treat others, how you give back and how you show the Universe your appreciation but putting out positive energy.

Keep on, Warrior! You got this.

Wisdom Wednesday: Those Small Victories!

Tiny but mighty.

Sometimes we need to step back and take a moment to reflect on those little wins rather than focusing on the big ones that we are aiming for but have not accomplished.

Wisdom Wednesday: I Commend You

To my earthly warriors, I commend you.
I applaud you for facing your battles with war paint and shields head on.
Never does your situation outwardly reflect your stance.

You may feel ready to throw in the towel. You may feel that no one can possibly understand the battles that you face.
But realize, Warrior, that you’ve faced many and have prevailed. Yes, they may have been stones thrown in your path, but remember, those are also used for stepping.

And just as the flower looks to the sun for nourishment and strength, others may be looking to you.

Stay strong, Warrior! You are powerful beyond measure.

Wisdom Wednesday: You Want It? You Gotta Earn It.

Nothing in this life comes easy. N.O.T.H.I.N.G.

If anyone told you that it does, they are not your friend since they lied to you — and they are misguided.

Everything that we do will require work. It will require effort. It will require patience. It will require stamina. It will require faith.

Often, we get caught up in what we want to do and achieve and we forget that we have to work our way up to it. Some of the things that we think are off our path are actually preparing us for what we are to achieve. Think of it like the quizzes before the final exam. The quizzes are short bursts of knowledge testing that prepares our mind to succeed on the final exam.

Wisdom Wednesday: It’s All On You

The truth is, we are responsible for ourselves.

Our goals. Our dreams. Our progress. It is all on us.

We, as individuals, must realize that we are in charge of our journey. It is not the responsibility of another to get us to where we want to be. We must make up our minds to get our mind and spirit in line with our goals. We are responsible for putting one step in front of the other. We are responsible for not giving up. We are responsible for continuing when we feel as though we can’t anymore. We are responsible for re-evaluating the “plan” when a part of it did not work.

Wisdom Wednesday: Don’t Hold It In!

WHOO! I mean this wholeheartedly. Do. Not. Hold. It. In.

What am I referring to, do you ask? Your emotions. Your frustrations. Your feelings. Your thoughts.

Repressed emotions, frustrations, feelings, and thoughts will come back full force. It will be in your dreams. In the middle of the day. During the most random and unwelcome time. Do not hold it in. Release it.

Release that energy. Release it and don’t look back. Now, when I say release it, I don’t mean in a wild way. Oftentimes, people give in to how they are feeling at the moment and make rash decisions that could have been better if channeled a different way. There are many ways to deal with what is going on.

You can take a walk and allow yourself to bask in the feeling of being outside and away from the source of how you feel or where you began to feel this way (e.g. feeling overwhelmed in the office and need to take a walk).

You can turn on some relaxing music, close your eyes, and let it envelope you in a serene manner.

You can decide to exercise to channel the energy into a productive and beneficial manner.

You can talk to someone that you trust who will listen to you. Someone who would give advice, a new perspective, and/or just be there for you.

You can create a new masterpiece; be it artwork, a poem, a story, cuisine, dessert, DIY projects, hairstyle, organizer, etc.

You can help someone who is in need of a friendly smile, hand, meal, or word of encouragement.

You can write it down.

You can read a book.

You can take a relaxing shower or bath.

You can redirect your thoughts to the positive.

You can think of your favorite place (e.g. tropical beach or in the mountains) and mentally transport there.

You. Can.

You can do it.

But whatever you do, do not hold it in. Do not allow these emotions, frustrations, feelings, and thoughts to take over you. They shall not win. All of these things can stem from a moment, a day, or a many things continuously happening. Just remember that it will be all right and that your energy is everything.

We are all human. We are all Warriors. We are not perfect in every moment. This is what builds us and makes us stronger.

Just breathe. Let it go. Peace in the mind. Peace in the heart. Peace in the body. Peace in the soul.

Peace to you, Warrior.

Wisdom Wednesday: Life Adjustments

As people, we all have our own unique, individual, and interesting journies through life.

And on our personal journey, people, experiences and moments are/were placed in our lives to grow us. Sometimes the growth is seemingly marginal, other times significant but it grows us, nonetheless. In this time, the growth is a wonderful experience and many, many times, there are growing pains. We have to make adjustments in our lives, whether it is desirable at that moment or not. Those adjustments may be working more, studying more, spending less (or more…think investment), getting quiet, removing ourselves from situations, befriending new people, unfriending old people, stepping out on faith, etc.

These moments really show us something. It shows strength. It shows resilience. It shows determination.

Have patience. Have faith. It’s frustrating. It’s painful. It’s beautiful. It’s glorious. But it makes you. Choose humility over bitterness. Choose peace over chaos. Our small choices make up the big picture.

Be prepared for greatness to come out of this. But realize, that all great people have had their fair amount of tribulations and lost plenty of people who were with them. But keep going. You deserve it. But true to you and one with the universe.

You got this, warrior.

Wisdom Wednesday: Pace Yourself

Pace.

Loosely defined as continuous yet consistent rate of walking or running.

Pace, as it has to do with life is quite similar. All Warriors have their own journey to experience. There are many factors that contribute to it based on our decisions and life itself. Now, it is common in our world for Warriors to be conditioned to get things done quickly and move to the next thing. This conditioning not only filters through physical actions that we take but also ties into our journey. Oftentimes, one ends up inconsistently running through life.

Wisdom Wednesday: Worry Not, Warrior

There is that word again: worry.

Worry is not our friend but seems to accompany us more than we’d like.

Too often, work, family, bills, experiences, trials, and challenges allows worry to show up. It tries to ingrain itself into our psyche, our spirit, and our body. It can make us tired and feel like we are carrying an extra 300 pounds on us. It steals our sleep. It creates bags beneath our eyes. It ruins our appetite. It saddens us. It tries to weaken us. Wisdom Wednesday: Trust the Process

Time for a little honesty here.

We all have had moments when we get impatient with our journey. We wonder how we ended up here when we were aiming to end up over there. We wonder how or why we are being challenged the way that we are. We wonder how we ended up off course of where we planned to be. The answer is: because we are supposed to be.
