As I sit here reflecting, the lesson that comes up so often (especially with the way we are conditioned to constantly be doing something), is to just be.
🌿 We don’t always have to move. We don’t always have to do something. We must learn to just be. By being okay with stillness, we open ourselves to rest, to reflect, to regenerate, to new things, new blessings and doors. 🌿 Be comfortable with just being a still version of yourself.
Hello, Spring!!! We are embarking on a new journey with a new season. It is a officially Spring! The flowers are blooming. The butterflies are getting ready to see us. The beautiful rain showers will cleanse the Earth. It is also prime time for us to focus on the betterment of ourselves. To focus on our physical and mental health. To reach our goals. The learn balance. To learn to say ‘yes’. To learn to say ‘no’. To let go of what doesn’t serve us. It is prime time for new intentions. To plant new seeds. For new opportunities. New aspects of our journey. This is a period of growth, beauty, and planting. Use it wisely and do so with pleasure in your heart.
Happy Spring Equinox, Warriors!
There is so much going on in the world. So much going on nationally and locally (no matter where you live, really). That, in turn, often means that there is a lot going on within.
With constant exposure to the media outlets, social media, and those around you who discuss events, issues, etc., it become quite easy to absorb the energy of those things. It is also quite easy to absorb the energy of the people around you. They could just be sitting near you, actively having a discussion or sharing a story with you, or you witnessing their interactions with others. And how many times has our energy changed when something happened? Someone cut us off while driving. We missed a meeting. We’re running late. We forgot our lunch. Someone is ignoring your emails. The list goes on…
What a year! First, take a moment to give thanks for the year. The ups, downs, and everything in between. Without them, we will not know ourselves and our capabilities.
As the year is coming to a close, many people are focusing on their challenges (or what I call, “character-building moments”). While it is okay to reflect, one must ensure that they are looking at the challenges / character-building moments in the right way. Right now, many people are saying, “Oh, this year sucked!” or “I can’t wait until 2017!” Well, in order to make sure the next year is phenomenal, you must weed and feed. This year, you planted a seed for yourself. But just with plants, you must prune them to allow it to grow healthy. In life, we must prune the negativity, bad habits, and things that do not deserve to move on with us. After pruning, we must feed our life positive energy in order to flourish.
It is simple but is something that everyone can relate to.
The weak often lash out to protect themselves in some form or fashion. Oftentimes, in protecting themselves, they are often wounding others. Although this is experience isn’t something that is welcome or a ray of sunshine, let it roll off of you.
