It is e x t r e m e l y important that we feed our spirits. We are constantly tapping the source and using its energy. Yet, we tend to forget to replenish ourselves. Take time to find what moves and feeds you. Be it dancing, reading, cooking, volunteering, singing, painting, drawing, writing, meditating, exercising, walking in nature…You name it. You just do it. It is for you. It is made for you. It is made for your spiritual nourishment. Make a way and make the time.
It is essential to our well being and we often forget about ourselves. We subconsciously think that we are an endless source of energy that does not need to be refueled, only, we quickly learn the truth after we find that we have been drained and tapped out.
This week, I took time off to regroup and focus. I listened to what my mind and body called for. This time was the epitome of self-care by allowing myself to regroup, rest, and allow myself to focus.
Now, on this beautiful Friday graced by the New Moon, I am here to encourage you to allow yourself the space to do as your body and spirit calls for. As you do so, take time to focus your mind on your intentions for the coming month. Focus on all the great things you set out to achieve. Do not allow yourself to get caught up in what did not occur in the last thirty days. It is time to begin anew. This is your time. Focus your mind’s eye on what you want to happen. It does not need to be complex. It can be simple things such as being peaceful more often than not. Some simple intentions are:
Ah, the week has arrived. It seems like the days of rest (aka the weekend) are never long enough.
First things first, take a moment to close your eyes, take a deep breath, and slowly release a breath laced with gratitude. It is quite a blessing to be able to enjoy each day. It is a blessing no matter what we are faced with.
As I sit here writing this, I am enjoying the scent of the incense burning and vibing with the relaxing music that is playing in the background.
Over the past few days, I’ve noticed a subtle shift. The need for quiet. The desire of clarity. The longing on continuous peace. Simply put, the need to just be. So now I am here, as many of you Warriors are. Feeling the shift of the Universe. Going with it. Adjusting as we go along. Making room for the Universe but working on our peace all at the same time. Wondering what is fueling these indescribable feelings but acknowledging their presence. And then, you look to the sky. Looking for answers. Searching for peace. Becoming one. And when you look, you see her. You feel her power. You feel her. The Full Moon. She has arrived.
This one holds true for us all. Sometimes we learn this lesson gently; other times, not so much. This is more of the latter. Our goals and objectives often become the forefront of our focus rather than a holistic view of our entire being. Our mind, body, and spirit. The second one falls to the wayside at times.
